Tattered US Flags ready for retirement can now be dropped off in the lobby of the Gilmer County Commissioner’s Office. Members of Keep Gilmer Beautiful will check the box monthly and take the deposited flags to the local American Legion post for a proper retirement ceremony.
As part of its efforts to promote recycling and litter reduction in the community, Keep Gilmer Beautiful now accepts worn American flags ready for retirement.
