A man is facing a rape charge in Gilmer County.
Roscoe Benny Sharpe, Jr, 53, was arrested and charged with rape by the Gilmer County Sheriff’s Office Feb. 5.
The incident allegedly occurred in November 2020.
Sharpe offered the alleged victim a ride in his van to meet a friend. Once inside the van, the victim told deputies Sharpe said he was not going to let her out. She said he poured beer on her during the incident.
He is being held without bond.
