It’s the time of year when we pull out the sweaters and quilts and cozy up to the fire.
To honor that, Gilmer Arts will open its annual Fiber Arts Exhibit Friday, Dec. 3.
The Gilmer Arts Gallery, located at 207 Dalton Street, will host an opening reception from 5-7 p.m. to honor the artists who’ve allowed us to exhibit their quilts, needlework, crochet, knitting, weaving and other fiber arts.
Local business Vector Quilts will be sponsoring the competition this year. Lynn Rinehart will be the judge. Awards will be announced during the Dec. 3 reception at 6 p.m.
The exhibit will remain on display and can be viewed in both Gilmer Arts’ Hawthorne Hall and Link Gallery until Jan. 4.
After that time, the winning competition entries will continue to be viewable in the Link Gallery until Feb. 1.
