GHS graduation ceremony May 28, valedictorian, salutatorian announced

Gilmer High School is pleased to announce the Class of 2021 commencement exercises. The event will take place at Huff-Mosley Memorial Stadium Friday, May 28, at 7 p.m., rain or shine. Tickets are not required to attend, and admission is free to all spectators.

In an effort to show students the honor they deserve, Gilmer High School asks that all spectators treat the ceremony as a dignified event. No pets, alcohol or tobacco will be permitted at the ceremony. Small children must be supervised and should sit with their parents.

The doors will open promptly at 5:30 p.m.  Spectators can enter through the main gate or the visitors gate as seating is available on both sides of the stadium. Seating will be first-come, first-served. Complimentary shuttle buses will be running for guests parking at Gilmer High School, Mountain View Elementary and the Civic Center parking lots.

A limited number of handicapped parking spots are available in the upper parking lot, and you must request a handicapped parking pass prior to the event. The request form can be found on the GHS website.  GHS requests that spectators not park vehicles along the side of the road on Bobcat Trail due to emergency accessibility and the safety of all attendees.

The event will air live on ETC3. If you have any questions, contact the school at 706-276-5080.
