Fannin County Sheriff’s Office investigators have made four arrests and seized a large amount of assorted drugs with a street value of $120,000.
The arrests and seizures resulted from search warrants executed two weeks ago at two separate residences.
A lengthy investigation led to a search warrant for a residence at 359 Old Hollow Road just off Ballewtown Road owned by Kenneth Jeffery Bradburn, 51, according to Investigator John Arp.
Investigators collected over 500 grams of methamphetamine, prescription medications, marijuana and two guns Monday morning, Feb. 10. Approximately $1,700 in cash was also seized.
Also several items believed to have been stolen were recovered. “These items are likely to solve several residential burglaries,” Arp said.
Bradburn was taken into custody along with two other individuals at the residence, Christin Nicole Comenzind, 28, of 246 Redwood Court, Ellijay, and Joshua Ryan Marshall, 36, 157 Bayou Court, Ellijay.
Bradburn is charged in warrants taken by Arp with two felony counts of trafficking in methamphetamine or ampehtamine, one felony count each of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of firearm/knife during commission of a crime, use of communication facility in committing or facilitating a drug transaction, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug-related objects.
Warrants charge Comenzind with trafficking in methamphetamine or amphetamine, two counts of conspiracy to commit a crime, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, all felonies.
Marshall is charged with trafficking in methamphetamine or amphetamine and two counts of conspiracy to commit a crime, all felonies.
The drugs seized during the search have an estimated street value of approximately $45,000, Arp said.
The next afternoon, Tuesday, Feb. 11, investigators executed a search warrant at the home of Spencer Douglas Young III, 29, at 72 Card Lane in Blue Ridge.
Sheriff’s Investigator Leslie Cheek said that effort led to the seizure of assorted drugs with a street value of approximately $75,000.
Investigators confiscated a trafficking amount of heroin, more than 400 grams of methamphetamine, more than 3.5 pounds of marijuana, and six guns including two shotguns, an AR rifle and three pistols. Cheek explained that four grams of heroin are required to be considered the minimum amount needed for a trafficking charge.
Warrants taken by Cheek charge Young with four felonies; one count each of trafficking in methamphetamine or amphetamine, trafficking in heroin, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He is also charged with a misdemeanor, possession of drug-related objects.
An on-going investigation led to the warrant, arrest and seizures, Cheek said.
