Karleen Ferguson has won the runoff primary race against Doug Rink for Gilmer County Post 1 Commissioner.
Ferguson garnered 1,811 votes overall to Rink’s 1,456.
She will stand as the Republican candidate for the office in the November election. There is no Democrat challenger.
Rink lead following the early vote totals 599 to 587 for Ferguson.
A total of 3,267 voted in the runoff versus 3,989 who voted for commissioner candidates in the regular primary.
