Friends of the Gilmer Animal Shelter (FOGAS) will be offering discount pet vaccinations at a clinic this Saturday.
The group will hold its spring drive-thru pet vaccination clinic Saturday, March 26, from 8 a.m.-noon, in the county courthouse/Dalton State College parking lot behind the Gilmer Chamber Downtown Welcome Center.
The following vaccinations will be offered at the drive-thru clinic: one-year rabies ($10), DHCPP (distemper-parvo) for puppies ($15), DHLLP (distemper-parvo) for dogs ($15), feline leukemia for cats and kittens ($20) and bordetella (kennel cough) ($15).
As with the past FOGAS vaccination clinics, the shots will be given by Dr. Craig Chester and his Animal Medical Clinic staff of Jasper.
You don’t have to be a resident of Gilmer County to bring a pet to be vaccinated, and a portion of the proceeds will go to FOGAS so the group can continue to present the vaccination clinics. Payment will be accepted only in exact cash or check.
This will be FOGAS’ first drive-thru pet vaccination opportunity for 2022. Another clinic is being planned for sometime in the fall.
