Gilmer County Commission Chairman Charlie Paris was among those who were vaccinated against COVID-19 at county fire station 1 this week. The firehouse was utilized as a Department of Public Health immunization site for health care workers, first responders and some other county employees eligible to receive the vaccine. The fire station is not being used as a mass vaccination site for the general public.
