Local Authors Forum will share her work
A career in mental health can be an advantage when writing about the intricacies of the mind.
One Gilmer resident, Kathi Harper Hill, has found that to be true.
Hill has lived in north Georgia her whole life, and has been writing since she was 10.
Her books include the 2011 Georgia Author of the Year Award runner-up “The Crow and the Wind,” as well as nine other books.
These include both novels and short stories.
She will be talking about her books at the Local Authors Forum, hosted by Friends of the Gilmer Library.
The event will take place Saturday, April 25, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Gilmer County Library’s Community Room. The library’s address is 268 Calvin Jackson Dr.
Hill’s books focus on relationships and how they force people to grow. They also draw on a Southern sense of humor.
When she isn’t writing, Hill enjoys teaching Bible classes, practicing interior design or playing music.
