The Gilmer County School System’s Seamless Summer feeding program is set to begin in next Monday.
Free meals will be available Monday through Friday at eight locations throughout the county and are open to those who are 18 years old and younger.
Returning once again are Summer STEM Camps. They will be held for one week at four locations and include Tower Road Mobile Homes, Ellijay First United Methodist Church, Mulberry Apartments and Sunlight Baptist Church.
STEM activities will take place ahead of lunch and are catered to students in kindergarten through eighth grade.
The Seamless Summer program kicks off Monday, June 6, and will run through July 22. The program will be closed the week of July 4. An individual breakfast and lunch will be served at Gilmer High School, while the remaining seven sites will offer lunch beginning around noon.
The Bobcat Cafe is a mobile feeding site that also offers educational opportunities and will be on location at First Baptist Church of Ellijay.
