David Bryan and Tony Teague, of the City of Ellijay Street Department, were getting a leg up on Christmas decorating last week as they hung wreaths and bows from lampposts along River Street prior to this Friday’s Light Up Ellijay festivities downtown. The Light Up Ellijay parade will begin at 6 p.m. Nov. 26 with a Christmas tree lighting on the roundabout. Santa visits can be had in front of the courthouse from 2-6 p.m. and after the parade.
