Libraries are a lot like books.
Sometimes you’ll be surprised by what you find inside them.
This summer, the Gilmer Library is hosting a variety of exciting events.
If you or your kids are interested in dinosaurs, books, crafts, chess, Legos, America’s 250th birthday or all of these things together, the library is a great place for you to go over the summer.
These activities range from one-time events to long-term programming that can give your kids something to do for the whole summer.
The library is a public resource, so all its public programming is free to take part in.
This summer, the Gilmer Library’s programming is organized around the Summer Discovery program.
If you log in to the library’s free Beanstack app and track your reading, you can collect limited edition trading cards, digital badges and prizes.
The app is available at sequoyahregionallibrary.beanstack.com/reader365.
In addition, the library has activities every week of June that visitors can enjoy.
