Ted Robert Barrett

Mr. Ted Robert Barrett, 78, of Ellijay, died Monday, Dec. 26, 2022, at his residence.

He was born July 6, 1944, in Cairo, to the late Thomas Littleton Barrett and Atherlone Burnum Barrett.

He proudly served in the U.S. Army and for several years worked in civil service at the Marine base in Albany.

He is preceded in death by several siblings.

He is survived by wife, Martha Garrison Barrett; sons, Mark Barrett, Keith Barrett, Mark Cory and Tracy Cory; sister-in-law, Jeanie Barrett; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

To honor his wishes, he will be cremated.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends Saturday, Jan. 14, from 1 p.m. until the service hour.
