Ms. Marie Driskill Eubanks Hamrick

Ms. Marie Driskill Eubanks Hamrick, 89, of Ellijay, passed away peacefully Friday, Dec. 31, 2021, at her residence. She was born June 24, 1932, in Gadsden, Ala., to the late Ralph R. Driskill and Evie Satterfield Driskill.

She was employed by the Bank of America where she worked as a secretary and administrator and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ellijay. She enjoyed gospel music, knitting and being around people.

She is preceded in death by husband, E.W. Hamrick; son, Gary Eubanks; daughter, Renee Tully; brothers, Bobby Driskill and Tom Driskill; and sister, Sue Driskill.

She is survived by son, Jeffrey (Barbara) Eubanks, of East Cobb, Marietta; sisters, Louise Hendon, of Smyrna and Linda Madden, of Hartwell; grandchildren, Tiffany Peek, Devon Eubanks, Meagan Brown, Evie Tully, and Sasha Edwards; great-grandchildren, Hannah Brown, Thomas and Ansley Brown, and Paige and Emma Tully; and one great-great-grandchild, Rita Jo Brown.

Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 3, 2022, in the Yukon Cemetery with the Rev. Tom Shores officiating.

Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
