Joseph Donald ‘’Don’’ Chastain

Mr. Joseph Donald ‘Don’ Chastain, 71, of Ellijay, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021.

He was born in Gilmer County Aug. 27, 1950, to the late Norman David Chastain and Catherine Richards Chastain. He was a truck driver employed by Chastain Septic and Grading formerly Chastain Trucking. He loved the Lord and he was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include wife; Glenda Chastain; sons: Josh Chastain (Ardin) and Jason Chastain (Kayla); daughters: Jennie Kirk, Carolyn Simmons (Steven) and Denise Vick; brothers: Danny Chastain and Norman Chastain (Teresa); sisters; Norma Lowery (Bobby), Kathy Chastain, Phyliss Clay (Ronnie) and Cheryl Chastain; grandchildren: Kerry Southern, John Simmons, Brian Southern, Corey Chastain, Brandi Stephens, Joseph Simmons, Zackery McClure, Ellie Chastain, Tristan Chastain and Crystal Mulkey and numerous great-grandchildren also survive.

He will be cremated with no services planned at this time.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his spouse Glenda in care of 398 Big Creek Rd, Ellijay, GA 30536.
