The fifth-grade Gilmer Bobcats will continue their football season in the playoffs.

Gilmer ended the regular season last Saturday in Lumpkin County and pounded the Indians for a 32-6 victory. The fourth-grade Cats trounced Lumpkin, 26-0.

The Indians were able to earn wins in the remaining three games, which included first grade (32-6), second (25-0) and third (33-6). Gilmer’s second graders lost a three-way tie for the final playoff spot in their division.

The No. 2 seeded fifth-grade Bobcats will take the field next Saturday, Nov. 6, at Huff-Mosley Memorial Stadium. Kickoff versus the No. 3 seeded Fannin County Rebels is scheduled for 3 p.m.
