This week the Times-Courier will recognize Gilmer High golf senior Riley McCormick and tennis seniors Kaylee Becerra, Mason Hadden, Josie Reece, Sarah Sheahan and Luke Wimpey.

Riley McCormick
My accomplishments at GHS include being salutatorian for the class of 2020. My most memorable moment was having my golf shoes break during our first official match and Mr. Speece taping them back together.
Kaylee Becerra
My accomplishments at GHS include being section leader in band and serving as a class representative for FGE. My most memorable moment was the bus ride back from an away game and having to stop and let a train pass, which felt like forever.
Mason Hadden
My accomplishments at GHS include winning region. My most memorable moment was Coach Hice yelling.
Josie Reece
I have been an honor roll student all four years, on the 2019 prom and homecoming courts and had perfect attendance 2019-20. I have also been in History National Honors Society, Spanish National Honors Society, SGA, FCA, FCA leader, United Community Bank Junior Board of Directors and a youth group member at Liberty Baptist Church.
My most memorable moment during tennis would have to be becoming region runners-up.
Sarah Sheahan
I was on the JV volleyball team for two years, and I was on the varsity volleyball team for one year. While on the varsity team, I received the Lady Cat Award. I have played on the GHS varsity tennis team for four years.
I am in my fourth year in the GHS chorus. My freshman year I received the Rising Star award, and my sophomore and junior years I received leadership awards. I have been section leader for three years and the secretary of the chorus department for one. I am in Future Georgia Educators. This is my fourth year, and I have been the secretary for three years.
My most memorable moment was Beth Burnette and I winning all of our region matches last year. We alone were region champs.
Luke Wimpey
My accomplishments at GHS include being a two-time region champion for tennis, an honor roll student and winning the FCA student athlete award last year. I was also on prom and homecoming court.
The most memorable moment during tennis would have to be winning the region championship my junior year.
