Gilmer High junior Beth Burnette passes to a teammate, and the Lady Cats began region matches at Tuesday’s press deadline. Last Tuesday, GHS was on the road and lost to Providence Christian Academy in straight sets, 25-16 and 25-17. The Cats also met Lakeview Academy and after a 26-24 win in the first set, Lakeview won the next two and the match, 25-21 and 17-15. GHS will travel to Christian Heritage Thursday for a 5 p.m. match.
