Dawson Co. Tigers up next for GHS

The Gilmer High Lady Cats faced the White County Warriors in the penultimate game of the regular season.

GHS made the road trip last Tuesday, and were unable to get much offense going. White’s offense was churning with nine hits on the day and Gilmer fell, 5-0.

White scored a run in the first and fourth innings and plated three more in the fifth.

Lady Cats Macy Hamby, Taylor Elliott and Maddie Wright each had a hit. Hamby tossed five innings and struck out four while walking one and allowing three earned runs. Zoey Woody pitched the sixth and fanned one and gave up a hit.

The Cats are 4-21 overall and will travel to Dawson County Wednesday for a 5:30 p.m. game to end the season.
