Track and field athletes made their way to Lilburn for the Georgia Middle School State Championships April 23-25.
The event attracted 100 teams, and the Clear Creek Bobcats and Lady Cats were in attendance and competed in 12 events.
CCMS top-30 finishers included Lady Cats Kenzie Sewell in the high jump (15th place, 4’ 4”) and Alyson Guidry in the shot put (25th, 28’), as well as Bobcats Hunter Britain (200 meters, 27.57) and Trace Morton (discus, 93’ 2”) who both finished 27th. Bobcat Charles Norman landed in 29th with a 91’ 6” toss in the discus.
Remaining CCMS placers included Kade Miller, 300-meter hurdles, (33rd, 55.70); Norman, shot put (32nd, 31’ 9”), 400 meters (52nd, 1:02.58) and 1,600 (64th, 5:43.06); Britain, 100-meter dash (56th, 13.61) and 200 meters (60th, 27.57) and Sewell in the 100 meters (61st, 14.44)and 200 meters (60th, 29.82).
