Summer vacation has arrived for the county’s students, and Gilmer High School will hold its annual slate of summer youth sports camps, which continued this week.
Homegrown Wrestling Camp will be June 20-21 at the new Noah Harris Center (old LWEC gym) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The camp is open to boys ages 5 to 10 and those in middle school and high school. The cost is $25 for Gilmer youth and middle school wrestlers, $60 for GHS wrestlers and $75 for wrestlers from outside of Gilmer. Boys basketball camp will be June 24-26 from 9 a.m. to noon, and the cost is $55 if preregistered or $65 at the door on June 24. The event will be held at two locations, and the little kids camp for first through fifth graders will be at the CCMS gym. The big kids camp for middle schoolers will be held at the GHS gym.
