Gilmer High School’s Jackson McVey was one of 26 underclassmen selected to play in last Friday’s North Georgia All-Star Classic at Gainesville High School. McVey, a 6’ 11” freshman, had two dunks, drained some midrange jump shots and added a three pointer en route to 31 points and was named Co-MVP. “He played really well,” said GHS head coach Jordan Hice. “It was a good opportunity to go out there and have some fun and get some recognition. It was good for Jackson to get exposed to other competition and some of the better players in his age group.”
