GHS was on the court for seven matches last week and posted a 2-5 record. They were at Coahulla Creek Monday and fell to the host Colts (25-15, 25-21) and defeated Oakwood Academy (25-17, 25-14), Gilmer was in Calhoun the following day and lost region matches to the Yellow Jackets (25-20, 25-17) and LaFayette (25-15, 25-21). GHS wrapped up its week Saturday in Gainesville and beat Stephens County (25-18, 25-12) while dropping matches to Lakeside (scores not available) and Union County, 2-1. GHS won the first set 25-15 before losing the next two, 25-2 and 15-7. Gilmer is 10-18 overall and 2-6 in the region. The Cats host Flowery Branch and Union Thursday for senior night with matches beginning at 5 p.m.
