Gilmer High cross-country was in Canton for the Annual Warpath Invitational.
The GHS Lady Cats snatched sixth place in the field of 14, while the Bobcats placed 11th out of 17 boys teams last Saturday.
Ella Schwartz continued her strong season, and turned in a sixth-place time of 21:14. Jennifer Garcia was not far behind, placing 12th in 21:49. Allison Hernandez (36th, 24:16), Estephany Becerra (48th, 25:06) and Melanie Toledo (73rd, 28:09) were the remaining top runners.
Seth Turner led the way for the Bobcats, finishing 23rd overall in 18:14. Dawson Richard followed at 36th in 18:32, while Leeland Dantin crossed in 50th with a time of 19:08. Eddie Alonzo (95th, 21:47) and Jacob Pantoja (111th, 24:18) rounded out the top five.
GHS hosted the North Georgia Championships at press deadline.
