Gilmer High cross-country’s latest test was in Ringgold.
After a week without a race, the GHS Bobcats and Lady Cats were at Heritage High School for last Tuesday’s Fast Break Challenge.
The Bobcats competed against 33 teams and claimed 11th place, while the Lady Cats were eighth among 22 girls teams.
The Lady Cats secured their placement with the top four finishers closely bunched. Morgan Palmieri placed 36th and completed the 5K course in 23:57.
Next up were teammates Salma Gonzalez (39th, 24:07), Jennifer Garcia (40th, 24:08), Estephany Becerra (49th, 24:40) and Allison Hernandez (74th, 26:26).
Seth Turner led the Bobcats in 38th place with a time of 18:46. Dawson Richard clocked in at 19:10 for 46th, and remaining point scorers included Jeremy Martinez (78th, 19:59), Leeland Dantin (79th, 20:00) and Harrison Chester (96th, 20:45).
