The Tiger Plunge was the latest stop for Gilmer High swimmers.
The GHS Bobcats and Lady Cats traveled to Adairsville High School last Saturday for the 12-team meet.
Bobcat Cheyne Smith was the top GHS point scorer at the event, and he tallied 30. Smith placed fourth in both the 50-yard freestyle (25.99) and 100-yard breaststroke (1:23.34).
Conner Defoor swam the 200 free (seventh place, 3:05.86) and 50 free (32.23).
The top performing Lady Cat in attendance was Elizabeth Kucera. She finished fifth in the 500 free (8:11.39) and was 10th in the 50 free (32.50). In the 200 free relay, Kucera joined Esther Bowman, Evan May and Yana Jones for fifth in 2:17.48.
Kucera, Bowman, Evan May and Remy May completed the 200-yard medley relay in 3:08.76 for eighth place. Evan May was also sixth in the 50 free (33.43) and sixth in the 100 free (1:15.04). Jones clocked in at 3:10.40 for eighth in the 200 free, while she took 17th in the 50 free (34.30).
Addison Potter finished 17th in the 200 free (3:09.87) and 53rd in the 50 free (43.28). In the 200 free relay, she teamed up with Rosalie Ballew, Alexandra Shull and Grace Medina, and they placed 17th in 3:09.87.
Also swimming the 200 free relay was the team of Remy May, Abigail Tello, Madison Arreaga and Lana Ginger for 18th place at 3:31.87.
Remaining 50 free results: Lady Cats Ginger (37th, 37th, 38.41), Remy May (47th, 40.06), Shull (65th, 50.10), Arreaga (66th, 50.92), Ballew (69th, 51.74), Isabella Jones (71st, 52.09) and Tello (71st, 52.09).
In the 100 free, GHS finishers included Remy May (24th, 1:35.59), Ginger (25th, 1:37.72), Shull (37th, 1:55.41), Arreaga (40th, 2:02.96), Ballew (41st, 2:10.74) and Isabella Jones (42nd, 2:11.69).
Bobcat Clifford Defoor was 38th in the 100 free (1:30.21) and 48th in the 50 free (38:00).
