Clear Creek wrestlers proved they are still one of the top teams in the Mountain League.
CCMS hosted the annual league tournament Dec. 12-13, and duals were held on the first night. The Bobcats finished as runners-up before winning the traditional championship the following day.
During the duals portion, CCMS took on Union County in the semifinals and trounced the Panthers, 66-12. In the title match, the Bobcats tangled with White County, and the Warriors claimed first with a 45-41 victory.
The Bobcats dual record stands at 15-4.
During the traditional tournament, eight Bobcats reached the finals, and champions included Rudy Morales and Carlos Garcia. Runners-up included Jonijah Perigo, Dawson Duncan, Asher Kleczka, Ronald Perez, Christian Bautista and Jonathan Jacinto.
Consolation finals winners were Danny Alonzo, Jeramiah Adams, Caleb Gaspar and Daniel Raymundo, while Pedro Alonzo, Christian Alonzo, Jeffrey Loarca, Blayz McElfresh, Samuel Tercero and Isaac Jones were fourth.
Lumpkin finished second as a team and White was third.
