Clear Creek cross-country runners attended the always competitive Wingfoot Classic.
The annual 3K race was held last Saturday in Cartersville, and the CCMS Lady Cats (132 points) finished in the middle of the pack out of 10 teams. The Bobcats (263) faced 15 other squads and placed 12th in the boys standings.
Ella Schwartz (19th place, 13:56.6), Xiaoxing Troxell (23rd, 14:08.6) and Morgan Palmieri (29th, 14:21.3) continued their seasonal form as the Lady Cats’ top-three runners.
Autumn Little (30th, 14:21.6) and Jennifer Garcia (31st, 14:23.7) also added their name to the score sheet and were followed by teammates Malley Blocker (45th, 15:14.4) and Ava West (47th, 14:21.8).
River Rayborn (11:52.4) was the first Bobcat to finish. He placed 13th, and Willian Ramirez (12:12.2) was next in 21st. Next up for CCMS were Clint Carver (69th, 14:05.4), Nathan Grice (76th, 14:21.2) and Cole Jones (84th, 14:49.3)
Bobcats Asa Leigh (16:21.1) and Gavyn Mesner (16:29.3) landed in 69th and 97th place, respectively.
Taylor Road Middle (46) was the No. 1 boys team followed by Cartersville (69) and Atlanta Neighborhood Charter School (107). Taylor Road (30) and Cartersville (34) were the top girls teams as well and Lovett (119) placed third.
