Clear Creek wrestling started its season with a bang.
The CCMS Bobcats were in Blue Ridge last Tuesday to take on Fannin and Towns counties. The Cats pounded the host Rebels for a 70-18 victory. Towns forfeited to CCMS and wrestled exhibition matches instead and the Bobcats won 15.
“For our first match of the season, I saw a lot of good things from our kids on the mat,” said head coach Thomas Glanton. “We have been working hard on the mat over the past few weeks. We have a lot of first-year wrestlers out that really seem to enjoy putting in work on the mat.
“Our priority over the next week is to stay healthy and keep working on the fundamentals of wrestling.”
