Clear Creek Middle School turned in an undefeated week on the basketball court.
The Bobcats only took the court last Thursday, and CCMS notched wins over Lumpkin County. The seventh-grade Cats buried the Indians in a 17-point hole at the half and led 40-14 with seven minutes to play. Both Kayson Taylor and Alex Raper led the way offensively with 16 and 11 points, respectively, and CCMS won, 50-28.
Clear Creek eighth graders also distanced themselves from LCMS in the second quarter to widen their lead to 30-13 at halftime. LCMS cut into the Cats’ lead in the third, but CCMS put the game away to win, 59-38. Noah Rice led all scorers with 31 points.

The Lady Cats played four games, and the seventh grade topped Lumpkin, 29-22. The older Cats won, 40-25. CCMS also faced Cartersville for a pair of nonleague matchups. The sixth-grade Cats took the court and smashed the Hurricanes, 62-8. The eighth grade earned a 35-25 victory.
