Clear Creek softball snagged two more league wins after the Lady Cats’ latest slate of games.
Dawson County was in town last Wednesday and the Tigers built a 7-run lead that CCMS erased. DCMS came away with a 15-11 win in extra innings.
The Cats hosted Fannin County the following day and sent the Rebels back to Blue Ridge with an 11-3 loss. CCMS made the trek to White County Monday and earned a 4-3 victory over the Warriors.
Seven errors plagued CCMS against Dawson and led to 13 unearned runs. The Cats were ahead 2-1 after an inning ahead of the Tigers’ eight-run second.
Clear Creek began to mount its comeback in the third where the Cats plated two runs. In the fourth, CCMS tacked on five more runs to even the score at 9-9. International tiebreaker rules were in effect in the fifth, and WCMS scored five runs. CCMS got some offense going in its half, but their rally fell four runs short.
Sydney Dillard, Lily Teague, Jaylin Duncan and Brinlee Johnson all had two hits for CCMS. RBI leaders included McKenley Holt and Duncan with three, while Teague and Johnson drove in two apiece.

Fannin and CCMS played a close game until the fifth inning. FCMS scored a run in the first and two in the second. The Cats answered with a run in the second and three in the third to lead, 4-3.
CCMS pushed seven runs across home plate in the fifth with the help of six walks and a hit batter. Maylee Bramlett and Neeyah McDaniel both doubled in the inning, and Holt’s RBI single ended the game.
McDaniel and Bramlett collected two hits apiece, and the latter drove in three runs. Also driving in a run were Dillard, Teague, McDaniel, Kensie Farmer and Duncan.
Bidwell earned the win and gave up three hits and three earned runs while striking out two and walking one.
Game statistics were not available for Monday’s game at White.
CCMS travels to Union County today at 4:15 p.m.
