Clear Creek softball was back on the field for two more league wins over White and Union counties.
There was no shortage of offense for CCMS on the week. The Cats smashed 17 hits in their 14-0 rout of White County last Monday.
The Cats took a 3-0 lead after the first inning and plated five more runs in the fourth and six scored in the fifth.
Braley Stewart continued to be a menace on the mound and at the plate. She struck out 14 Warriors and allowed one hit over five innings while recording three hits offensively.
Mattie Jones was there for two hits and she drove in four runs. Maylee Bramlett, Brenlee Daniel, and Neeyah McDaniel all turned in multi-hit performances for the Cats.
Sydney Dillard and Daniel had two RBIs apiece, and Teague, Kali McCardle, Abby Murillo, Stewart each drove in a run.
CCMS crushed Union County two day later, 11-0.
McDaniel had three extra base hits in the win, and her first inning triple scored two. In the third, Murrillo hit another triple and RBI singles followed by Teague and McCardle.
Six more runs crossed home plate in the fourth. Daniel drove in the first run with a single before RBI doubles by McDaniel and Murillo. A run scored on Bramlett’s hit and two more crossed home plate when McCardle grounded out.
Stewart and Teague also had three hits in the win and McCardle and McDaniel drove in three runs apiece.
This time Stewart struck out 12 Panthers and allowed two hits and a walk in five innings of work.
CCMS has a 7-3 overall record.
