Clear Creek cross-country runners turned in a pair of third-place finishes.
The four-team race was held in Fannin County last Tuesday, and the CCMS Lady Cats scored 51 team points. The Bobcats totaled 76 in the boys standings.
Ella Schwartz turned in a 3.2K time of 17:52 for third place in the girls race. Next up were teammates Xiaoxing Troxell (19:06) in eighth and Jennifer Garcia (19:13) in ninth. Also scoring team points were Morgan Palmieri (11th place, 19:41) and Malley Blocker (20th, 20:57).
Three Bobcats finished in the top 10, and Willian Ramirez led the way in fifth place at 16:00. Next up were teammates River Rayborn (6th, 16:06) and Jeremy Martinez (9th, 16:33), who were followed by Bobcats Clint Carver (25th, 19:27) and Nathan Grice (32nd, 19:53).
Lumpkin was the No. 1 boys team with 23 points. Fannin was second (72) and Union (81) placed fourth. Fannin won a tiebreaker over Lumpkin for first, and Union (129) placed fourth.
CCMS hosted the North Georgia Championships at press deadline.
