Clear Creek Middle School basketball was on the court for league matchups versus Pickens and Dawson County and went undefeated last week.
Bobcats
Clear Creek’s perfect week began last Monday at home. The seventh-grade Bobcats stormed to a 22-12 halftime lead, and the Dragons were left playing catchup the entire second half. Jackson Sevcech’s 12 points led CCMS, and both Reece Bramlett and Kayson Taylor added 11 in the Cats’ 48-34 win.
The eighth-grade Bobcats did much of the same, and jumped to a 12-point lead after a quarter. Noah Rice netted nine of his 17 points in the half, and CCMS rolled to a 59-40 win.
Dawson County got the better of the seventh graders early, but the Cats worked their way back into the game. Taylor made four threes on the afternoon, including two in the forth quarter to spark a CCMS comeback and 42-39 win.
The older Tigers did not stand a chance as nine Bobcats scored points. Rice had another strong performance with 22, and Slade Smith was there for 12 more. DCMS trailed 40-11 at the half, and the Bobcats continued to pour it on in the second half for a 66-22 win.
