Clear Creek cross-country runners were in Canton for the annual Warpath Invitational.
The 2-mile race was held at Canton’s Boling Park last Saturday, and the CCMS Bobcats placed 13th (331 points) while the Lady Cats (372) took 15th in their race.
River Rayborn was the No. 1 Bobcat in attendance. He finished in 12:31.15 for 33rd, and teammate Cole Jones (12:41.95) was 38th. Jacob Pantoja (83rd, 13:58.45), Eli Tilton (101st, 14:21.25) and Asher Kleczka (112nd, 14:30.75) scored team points as well.
Carson Fowler (146th, 15:51.15), Andrew Burgess (160th, 16:41.65), Gavyn Mesner (175th, 18:30.55), Ryder Johnstone (177th, 18:59.25) and Emmett Patterson (183rd, 21:20.75) also ran for the Bobcats.
Ella Schwartz was the fastest Lady Cat at the event with a time of 14:27.80 for 29th. Ava West placed 83rd (16:26.70), and she was followed by teammates Ryn Baldwin (97th, 16:51.60), Alie Morin (101st, 17:03.30) and Natalie Gonzalez (107th, 17:33.60).
Lady Cats Cameron Garza (19:31.50) and Karenza Mathis (19:32.10) finished consecutively in 131st and 132nd.
Taylor Road (45 points) won the girls race ahead of Pace Academy (117) and Liberty (139). Creekland (64) was the top boys team as North Hall (71) and Taylor Road (78) made up the top three.
