Clear Creek Middle School started its basketball season with eight league games.
The CCMS Bobcats and Lady Cats took on Dawson and White counties last week and combined for three wins.
Lady Cats
CCMS won decisively in both of its games versus Dawson County. Ten Cats reached the scoring column versus the Tigers, who never stood a chance. Molly Hicks (10 points), Kenzie Farmer (eight) and Lily Teague (seven) led the way offensively for CCMS who won, 39-5
The eighth-grade Cats got off to a fast start as well and led by 16 at the half en route to a 45-15 triumph. Brenlee Daniel scored 12 and was joined in double figures by Halle West (10), while Braley Stewart added nine.
At White County Thursday, the Warriors trailed through three quarters of the seventh-grade matchup. WCMS outscored the Cats 18-4 in the fourth to pull out a 33-31 victory.
The eighth-grade Warriors jumped to a 18-5 advantage after a quarter. WCMS built upon its lead over the final three quarters to win, 24-45.

White County’s potent scoring guard gave the seventh-grade Cats trouble. CCMS fell behind by eight after a quarter but went on a run to even the score in the second.
