Gilmer volleyball is still in search of their first region win.
The Cats hosted the Heritage Generals and Calhoun Yellow Jackets last Thursday, and the visitors won both matches in two sets.
Heritage took the court first against GHS, and the Generals won both sets in commanding fashion, 25-12. Sophomore Lady Cat Jace Sanderson had four kills, and Caylee Elrod scored three.
GHS dig leaders included Aliza Chastain with eight and both Maddy Usry and Madison Bradshaw finished with six. Bradshaw also added five assists.
Calhoun won in a similar manner, 25-11 and 25-16. Kills were limited and those tallying two were Usry, Lilyan Cook and Kiana Jones. Sanderson totaled three aces and three assists. Bradshaw was there for five assists and three digs. Chastain had five digs as well.
GHS is 1-18 overall and traveled to Heritage Thursday for a 5 p.m. match.
