Clear Creek Middle School faced Dawson and Fannin counties to continue its league basketball schedule.
Lady Cats
The Lady Cats earned three wins on the week, and they were in Dawson County last Monday. Lola Howard (15 points) and Braley Stewart (12) led the way for the seventh-grade Cats as they won easily, 50-32.
The eighth-grade Cats excelled on both ends of the court in a 59-20 blowout. Mak Taylor scored 22 points for the Cats and Ally Phillips added 12.
CCMS was at home Thursday, and a slow first half by the Lady Cats allowed the seventh-grade Rebels to build a 10-point lead at the half. Fannin was able to escape with a 32-28 win.
The eighth-grade game was also a low-scoring battle, and the Cats earned their second win of the week, 33-22.

Bobcats
Thirteen of Kayson Taylor’s 16 points came in the first half of the seventh grade’s win over Dawson. CCMS led 35-8 at halftime and emptied its bench in the third and fourth quarters en route to a 41-23 win.
The eighth-grade Bobcats won in dominating fashion as well, and they stormed to a 29-6 halftime advantage. CCMS extended its lead in the second half and won, 53-23. A.J. Callihan and Andrew Chastain were both in double figures with 14 and 12 points, respectively.
