Mrs. Emily James-Lesser, 74, of Ellijay, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021, in Piedmont Hospital, Atlanta.
Mrs. Lesser was born in Spalding County, to the late Walter Turner Jr. and Emmalou Hardy Turner. Mrs. Lesser served as the vice president of human resources for Snapper Inc. She was a member of the Ringgold Baptist Church in Griffin and attended the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Ellijay.
Mrs. Lesser enjoyed overnight trips, she was an artist and enjoyed painting and loved crafting and going to craft shows.
Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Arthur Lesser III of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Michael Todd James and Nicole; stepson Arthur Lesser IV and wife Suzanne, and brother, Cline Turner and wife Joyce, also surviving one granddaughter, Eliana Lesser and two grandsons, Dustin James and Devin James and wife.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 10, at 1 p.m. from the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Ellijay, with the Rev. Dan Rosser and the Rev. Claude Mathis officiating.
Interment was Tuesday, May 11, at 2 p.m. from the Westwood Gardens in Griffin.
Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
