Tuesday is Voting Day!

Tuesday, Nov. 5 is voting day in Gilmer County. The special election is to replace the unexpired term of County Commissioner Post 1, Dallas Miller. 

The candidates are:

Jason Biggs, Al Cash, Hubert Parker, Ed Stover Jr. and Jerry Tuso.

 

City of Ellijay residents can also vote to elect 5 members to the Ellijay City Council.

The candidates are:

Charles Barclay, William Jerry Baxter, Tom Crawford, Jerry Davis, Brent Defoor, Al Fuller (incumbent), Katie Lancey (incumbent), Sandy D. Ott, Kevin D. Pritchett and Brad Simmons. (Lynelle Reece Stewart withdrew her candidacy.)

 

Voting results will come in after deadline on Tuesday, so we will post the results on our website and facebook. Full results will be published in the Nov. 13 edition.
