Mr. William C. Stewart, 50, of Blue Ridge, went home to our Lord Sunday, Oct. 31, 2021. He was a beloved husband and a beloved father, who will remain in our hearts, as love, light and pride for the rest our living days.

He was also the proprietor of Snake Nation Landscapes and Carpentry for 24 years, taking pride in his work and clients, appreciating each and every one. William was also a member of O’Zion Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by father, “Bo” Stewart; mother, Mary L. Stewart; brother, James Penwell; and great-nephew, Adrian “Dewey” Derreberry.

He is survived by wife, Cynthia Stewart; children, Ashley and Michael Cochran, Kimmi Stewart, Dawson Stewart and Ava Ivey.

He was the cherished Pop-pop to Barron (Bear) and Caroline Hamilton.

Brother to Mike Penwell and Lynn Hogan and lots of nieces and nephews, aunts and cousins.

We, the family, will be celebrating our beloved patriarch privately.

In lieu of flowers, we hope for generous donations to the Fannin County Food Pantry and/or the Fannin County Empty Stocking Fund.

Condolences can be made at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.

The Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge was in charge of arrangements.
