Mrs. Jewell Dean Davis

Mrs. Jewell Dean Davis, 83, of Ellijay, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2021, at her residence.

She was born in Pickens County Dec. 3, 1937, to the late Harley McGahee and Vinie Hollifield McGahee.

She was a retired machine operator and was a member of Marble Hill Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by son-in-law, Kendall Payne; daughter, Rose Farist; and two grandchildren.

She is survived by husband, Danny Davis; daughters, Robin Jordan and Carolyn Payne; sisters, Patsy Fox, Clara Mae Johnson and Brenda Franklin; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, 2021, in the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Glen Arnold officiating.

She was cremated and interment was in Yukon Cemetery.

Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
