Mrs. Betty Ann ‘Bib’ Dale Southern

Mrs. Betty Ann “Bib” Dale Southern, 70, of Ellijay, died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022.

She was born Aug. 20, 1951, in Ellijay, to the late Jesse Perry and Nena Belle Gibson Dale.

She was a member of Flat Branch Baptist Church and was retired from Robert Shaw.

Although she had no children of her own, she was like a mother to so many, the most caring Godly woman.

She is preceded in death by sister, Shirley Dale Bailey.

She is survived by husband of 49 years, George Ermel Southern, of Ellijay; brothers, Jimmy Dale, Ronnie and Ernestine Dale, Sammy Dale, Jesse Dale, all of Ellijay; sisters, Earlene and Jerry Millsaps, Connie Dale Nazerian, Hilda and Troy McDaris, all of Ellijay; nieces and nephews, Angela Dale, Lynn Millsaps Harbour, Amy Bailey, Justin McDaris, Kennon Nazerian; great-nephews, Colby Newton and Cooper Hensley; great-nieces, Bristal Harbour; great-great-niece, Audrey Belle Newton.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022, at the Logan Funeral Home & Chapel with the Rev. Tony Withrow, the Rev. Daniel Reece and the Rev. Franklin Harper officiating.

Interment was in the Flat Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Justin McDaris, Kennon Nazerian, Colby Newton, Randall Thurman, Winston Cantrell, Lowell Davis, Robbie Harbour and Cooper Hensley.
