Mrs. Barbara Carol Shamp Ogles

Mrs. Barbara Carol Shamp Ogles, 69, of Ellijay, died Monday, Oct. 11,
2021.

She was born May 27, 1952, in Wichita, Kan., to the late Robert and Geraldine Marsh Shamp.

She was a high school graduate and was a licensed practical nurse at Hamilton Medical Center for several years.

She is preceded in death by brothers, David Shamp and Larry Joe Shamp; and sister, Francine Molitor.

She is survived by husband, Glen Ogles; sons, Robert Patterson (Tina), William “Don” Patterson (Deborah), James Patterson (Tammy), Sean Patterson and Ryan Patterson; daughter, Angela Gilfillen;  brother, Michael Shamp; sister, Robin Groom; grandchildren, Matthew, Destiny, Jessie, Darby, Thackery, Brian, Megan, Brennan, Kelly, Hayden, Sarah, Jack, Kate, Emma, Ava Grace, Tara, Chad, Ashley and April; great-grandchildren, JoLeigh, Jamie, Jayden, Mina, Ariel and Xander.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, 2021, in the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Tony Withrow officiating.

Interment was in the Flat Branch Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Sean Patterson, Robert Patterson, Hayden Patterson, Thackery Patterson, Brennan Patterson and Brian Brown.

Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
