Emory Truit Brown

Mr. Emory Truit Brown, 81, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021.

He was born July 2, 1940, to the late Claude E. and Edith Frances (Henson) Brown in Ellijay.

He is preceded in death by sister, Sandy Brown.

He is survived by daughter, Virginia “Ginny” Edith (Brown) and Dr. David Milton Whitley; son, William Conoly and Candace A. Brown; grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Whitley, Amy Kathyn Whitley, Jonathan David Whitley, Timothy James (Emma) Whitley, Noland Conoly Brown and Conor John Brown.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021, at Oak Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. James Holt officiating.

Donations can be made to the Oak Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery fund.
