University of Georgia senior Sara Mosley has been voted to the preseason All-Southeastern Conference softball team.
Mosley, a Gilmer High alum, has had a stellar career for the Bulldogs. She earned All-American honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association at the conclusion of last season, and was also voted to its All-Southeast second team. Additionally, she was named to the All-SEC first team.
Mosley was UGA’s top hitter a year ago with a .418 batting average and 76 hits. Twenty-nine of those hits went for extra bases and included 17 home runs and 12 doubles. She knocked in 53 runs and had a slugging percentage of .764.
Softball America has named Mosley as one of 50 to watch for the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year award.
Mosley’s teammates Sydney Kuma and Jayda Kearney also earned preseason All-SEC honors.
UGA is set to open its season Feb. 9 in Orlando, Fla., versus the University of Central Florida.
