Body

Mrs. Alida Rodriguez was born March 3, 1925. She died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2020. She was the youngest of 10 siblings.

She is preceded in death by four siblings; and husband, Pastor D.A. Rodriguez in 2006.

She leaves her daughter Melly Conley and two grandsons which she adored, Harold Conley and Chris Conley and their spouses Katie and Hannah.

She was a servant of the Lord who dedicated her life to service by being a pastor’s wife, mother, grandmother and a sister in Christ to many people over her life. Among them, she loved birds, children and puppies.

Just hours before her passing, she smiled at a brand-new 6-week-old puppy, brought in her room. Her ministry was teaching the love of Jesus to children and anybody else who would give her a chance and listen to her telling about her Jesus.

She sang in many choirs. The last one she participated in was the Avon Park Spanish Church Choir.

She had four strokes that stole her ability to do everything she wanted to do. The fourth stroke took place Sept. 14, 2020, and left her paralyzed on her right side and unable to speak. Her last few weeks, she spent fighting for her ability to walk and talk. However, she died peacefully in her sleep at about 1:30 a.m. She found her rest in Jesus.

She, as well as us, look forward to the soon coming of Jesus when we will see her and others in perfect health as God intended for all of us to be. Until then, sleep well Mami (Bita). We will see you in the resurrection morning. We love you, Pastor Mike and Melly Conley, Kathy Cameron, Hal and Katie Conley and Chris and Hannah Conley.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, 2020, at the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Conley officiating.

Interment will be in the Yukon Cemetery.
