Ms. April Leona Stanfield

Ms. April Leona Stanfield, 48, of Ellijay, died Wednesday, March 2, 2022.

She was born in Pickens County April 9, 1973, to David Stanfield and Geneva Sutton. She was a member of the Cross Roads Baptist Church.

She was also referred to as “The Warden” by her loved ones and friends and she also loved her special pups, Coco and Hershey.

She is preceded in death by grandparents, T.C. and Eva Mae Banks, Hoy and Bobbie Stanfield.

She is survived by father, David (Judy) Stanfield, of Tate; mother, Geneva (Gary) Sutton, of Ellijay; brothers, Ted Stanfield (Charlotte), of Ellijay, Robert Sutton, of Rocky Face; sister, Dana (John) Wright, of Ellijay; special nephews, Luke Wright, Anthony Sutton; special cousin, Tammy Darnell; and several aunts and uncles.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2022, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral with the Rev. Glen Arnold and the Rev. Roy Scott officiating.
