Mr. Coy Henderson, 74, died Wednesday, April 6, 2022.He was born in Ellijay to Manda Dean Henderson and Homer Henderson.

After serving in the United States Army, he worked for Dalton Utilities as a lineman for most of his career. He married the love of his life Lois Banks, and they raised two children.

He was a deacon at Friendship Baptist Church, and enjoyed camping and being with his four granddaughters.

He is preceded in death by parents, Manda and Homer Henderson; and siblings, Irma Easley, Loyd Henderson, Herbert Henderson, Audrey Worthington, June Holmes, Robert Henderson and Roy Henderson.

He is survived by wife of 50 years, Lois Henderson; children, Kelley Henderson and Russell (Magan) Henderson; grandchildren, Tori Henderson, Madelynn Henderson, Annie Claire Henderson and Savannah Henderson; siblings, Malvie Duckett, Dimmie (Lou) Price, and Carolyn Mathews; numerous nieces and nephews; special church friends and extended family.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2022, in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home with brothers Jerry Banks, Richards Edwards and Chad Pinion officiating.

Interment was in Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.

Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon, Tenn., was in charge of arrangements.
