Mrs. Anne Margaret Roberson Smith

Mrs. Anne Margaret Roberson Smith, 90, of Ellijay, died Monday, Sept. 27, 2021.

She was born in Lindale, May 15, 1931, to the late Garnet L. Roberson and Mary Phillips Roberson.

She was employed by the United States Department of Defense in the finance and accounting department.

Prior to retirement, she worked at Fort Gillem and Fort McPherson. She was a member of Oak Hill Methodist Church and the Ellijay Garden Club. She loved all her animals.

She is preceded in death by brothers, George, Roy, Clyde, Kenneth, Dan and Jack; and sister, Edna West.

She is survived by son, Eric Smith and wife, Tina, of Forest Park; and sister, Dorothy Wood, of Rome.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 4, 2021, in the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Glen Arnold officiating.

Interment was in Arlington Memorial Park.

Donations can be made to the Salvation Army or the Humane Society.

Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
